There are a number of great online resources you can use to create a newsletter for your students and parents this school year. We all know communicating what is happening in your classroom is important but sometimes difficult to manage. These tools can help you. Here are my top 4 tools for classroom newsletters.
- Tackk- It's hard to get any easier than Tackk. It allows you to quickly add text, pictures, videos, audio, buttons, maps, forms, media, and RSVPs in just a few clicks. Then you can share out your creation to a variety of services such as Facebook, Twitter, and Google+. Of course you can still share by email or print it as well. Here is an example.
- Smore- I love Smores, don't you? Well this Smores can be used very similar to Tackk. Add text, pictures, a gallery, event, bio, audio, and video to your newsletter. Choose from a variety of backgrounds to add that extra pizzaz and then share it via Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, etc (Example- DuckLink)
- Canva- This is a fantastic tool for creating graphics for multiple uses. You can also use it as a tool for designing a digital newsletter. Take advantage of the illustrations, icons, and free photos provided to make a great publication. Then share it with the world. - Google Docs- Keep it even simpler by using a tool you probably already use. Google Docs is a great way to design your next newsletter. Remember you can use the templates from the gallery and share rights to the newsletter with others. Then you can share your file as it is or use the feature to publish it like a web page by going to File>Publish to the web.
